Tuscany is a must for any visitor to Italy. Though slightly tarnished by the idea of the "chiantishire set", it has so much to offer everyone from the stunning landscapes, beautiful hilltop villages to the jaw dropping art collections in the Uffizi and the amazing architecture in its cities.
Our selection of the best places to stay in Tuscany ranges from hotels in the towns and cities like Campo Regio Relais in the centre of Siena or the Royal Victoria in Pisa, both brilliant choices if you want to walk rather than have to travel to the sights; or properties that are slap bang in the middle of nowhere, with nothing around but the Tuscan countryside and all it has to offer. Our favourite country retreat has to be Ca di Gosto, a wonderfully relaxed B&B and cookery school, just inside the border with Umbria.

Situated in the Val d'Orcia this property has been created from a 15th century mansion in the pretty town of San Quirico d’Orcia and now offers eleven traditional yet comfortable bedrooms.
