• Fly to Nice International Airport, Toulon-Hyères Airport or a smaller hub. Some towns and hamlets will be closer to Marseille-Provence International Airport. Travel onwards to your hotel by taxi, bus or train. Alternatively, take the train from Paris directly to your destination — this can sometimes be the most straight-forward route.

• Travel during the spring or summer for the best weather, with temperatures peaking around 27°C in June to August — this is the busiest time of year.
