“Location, location, location! Nestled in a quiet, upmarket part of town just a few doors down from the famous Indian Accent restaurant and the Ayurvedic Zehen spa. A residential area, 76 Friends Colony allows all the comforts of a hotel with the intimacy of a guesthouse. Much like a hotel, the entire ground floor is dedicated to a lobby space (complete with polished marble floors), whilst upstairs a large communal sitting and dining area, filled with useful and interesting books on India, as well as a fully functioning kitchen. Great if you’re in town for a longer stay and want to keep your own snacks to hand. Off this living space are (5 bedrooms). Again, much like a smart hotel they are large and feature private balconies looking out across the leafy garden. Bathrooms are also of a good size and feature modern bath and shower units. Breakfast is served daily, a buffet spread of Indian and continental dishes, plus eggs to order. Depending on capacity it is either taken in the light filled ground floor dining room (thanks to clever atrium style ceiling light) or in the upstairs dining area. Lunch and dinner are by arrangement.
What really sets 76 Friends Colony apart from the rest is its affordable pricing. Centrally located, the facilities it does not provide, are never far away. A great value find. ”
