| Opened in 1996, the attractive, classically-styled building that houses Cape Grace stands on its own quay on the vibrant Waterfront and in our opinion is easily the best of Cape Town's larger hotels, with cheery, well-orchestrated service at its heart, where nothing is too much trouble for the charming staff. Superb food in the onewaterfront restaurant; 122 sensible, elegant bedrooms and suites. |

THEY SAY: With a classically inspired exterior and elegant interior, the internationally award-winning Cape Grace is situated on a private quay on Cape Town's vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Cape Grace's charm lies in its intimate atmosphere, contemporary classic décor and unique personalised hospitality, you will find staff warm and accommodating with a spirit of unrivalled generosity. When Charles Brand, his wife Beth and parents Chippy and Cynthia first opened the doors of Cape Grace in December 1996, their vision was of a hotel that felt more like a good friend's home. The décor and environment needed to reflect its five star aspirations but most importantly, staff needed to relate to guests as personal hosts with warmth and enthusiasm. Ten years later and now owned by Meikles Africa, Cape Grace remains true to its operating philosophy of genuine hospitality and a desire to exceed guests’ expectations.
