| This mellow old villa and its gorgeous gardens, shaded by tall cypress trees, sit in the hills just south of the Arno, overlooking Florence. The five bedrooms are each different but all are furnished with taste and style; one has a spacious terrace with views of the city. There’s also a small pool. Owners Livia (descended from a distinguished family of originally Swiss hoteliers) and Lorenzo run their inherited house-turned-hotel with care. |

THEY SAY: My name is Livia and I have inherited this Villa which has its origins in the Reinaissance period. Together with my husband Lorenzo, I have renewed and transformed it into a delightful bed and breakfast where you can discover the suggestive charm of a more beautiful Florence…. A countryside with the characteristics of a work of art, a natural amphitheatre where architecture and landscape perfectly fuse together: this is the enchanting scene which we behold in the hills of Pian dei Giullari. From here our villa overlooks Florence and opens its doors to all of those who wish to spend a holiday in a complete relaxtion only a few kilometres from the historical centre of town.
