| This is our favourite three-star hotel in central Florence, in an exceptionally memorable location. Occupying an ex-convent in one porticoed corner of the Piazza SS Annunziata, it has views across the square to Brunelleschi's famous Ospedale degli Innocenti and is filled with lovely antiques and gorgeous fabrics. Charm, class and character by the bucketful. |

THEY SAY: Once the monastery guest rooms of the Servi di Maria religious order, then a centuries-old inn, now rooms rich in charm and history house the Hotel Loggiato dei Serviti, one of the most prestigious historic residences in Florence for its history and location. Built between 1517 and 1527 by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder for the Serviti order, a replica of the Spedale del Brunelleschi, the Hotel Loggiato dei Serviti is a precious treasure of Florentine history and architecture, continuing the tradition of hospitality initiated by the Serviti in the 1500s but now offering all the modern comforts and services required by today's traveller. Atmosphere, quiet, charm and comfort are shared by all rooms; parlours and sitting rooms are in typically elegant and austere Florentine style.
