The Hotel stands alone, surrounded by open countryside, hills, valleys and woodlands, at the foot of the Cat Bells in one of the most unspoilt areas of the Lake District National Park. A short 5 minutes stroll takes you to the edge of Derwentwater where the Keswick launch provides a regular service around the lake. Walking is very popular as there are many well marked, spectacular routes in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is perfectly situated for those who enjoy sailing, bird watching etc.
The charming market town of Keswick is only 3 miles away and there is easy access to Grasmere, Ambleside, Windermere and Buttermere etc.
Swinside Lodge Hotel is an elegant small country house hotel combining the highest standards of food, service and hospitality. The reception rooms are crisp and fresh offset by pastel blues and yellows. In the bold dining room deep reds combined with candlelight....formal, yet very relaxed. There are lots of books in the sitting rooms, maps for walkers, bowls of fruit and fresh flowers. The attention to detail is often commented on by visitors.
