| High above the town and with magical views, this B&B is remote but surprisingly sophisticated. Raffaele Bonaspetti, an elegant, philosophical lawyer, transformed the house from a 14th-century ruin, decorating every room beautifully and filling it with exquisite things. He has also transformed the hillside, replanting the land with olives and cypresses to satisfy his passion for trees. Breakfast is a delicious buffet, prepared by Raffaele’s wife Catia. |

THEY SAY: Dimora Bolsone is a renovated 15th-century manor house set on the green hillside that slopes steeply down to Lake Garda. With its breath-taking views and magnificent estate, a stay in Dimora Bolsone is a really exciting experience. The well-appointed rooms contain a delicate blend of works of art and antique furniture. The stone house stands in a magnificent park of natural beauty called "The Garden of the Senses", where body and mind can relax completely. The 80,000-square metre park contains lush vegetation, broken here and there by natural crystal-clear waterfalls and gently shaded paths. A well-laid-out succession of small clearings and clumps of age-old trees, fruit trees, ornamental shrubs, flowers and carpets of sweet-smelling aromatic herbs conveys a sense of peace and wellbeing to man and animals.
