| Arranged around an attractive paved inner courtyard, Riad Honey provides a tranquil refuge from the heat and dust of the medina. It has eight air-conditioned double bedrooms, decorated unpretentiously but with panache. With their Oriental rugs, wrought-iron and wooden furniture, low brass-topped tables and natural cotton fabrics, the style is authentically Moroccan. After dark, a host of lanterns light the atmospheric roof terrace, bringing a glow to the ochre walls. |

THEY SAY: To stay at the Riad Honey is to reside in authentically oriental surroundings. After all, a great deal of tender care and sensitivity has gone into designing the interiors of the rooms so that they reflect a traditional way of life. The stylishly unostentatious interiors predominantly feature traditional craft techniques and materials. Perhaps they’re one of the secrets behind the very special flair of the Riad Honey.... You can feel and experience the special flair of the orient around every corner in Marrakech, the red city. Nestling as a haven of peace and quiet in the hustle and bustle of the medina - the old walled part of the city - is the riad honey. From here it takes just 15 minutes to walk to the famous D'Jemaa el Fna, the market place which has been declared a world heritage site, where magicians, jugglers and merchants as well as intensive smells and colours will make you feel that you have been transported to a different world - an oriental world. The busy medina is forgotten once you step through the gate, for the inner courtyard of the riad honey lies in front of you. This haven of peace forms the very heart of the hotel. Lots of greenery, water and the pleasant cool air make this spot a valuable retreat in this lively city. High above, the roof terrace offers stunning views ranging from the rooftops of Marrakech to the high atlas mountains.
