| Les and Vanessa Scott met at art college, but found their true metier in 1990 when they transformed their family home, an elegant listed villa, into a delightful hotel. Their artistic flair is reflected in the eclectic decoration: luxurious, funky rooms with interesting furniture, plump cushions and masses of books. The food is a highlight and wins awards, with everything from bread to chocolates made in Vanessa’s kitchen. Don’t miss the exceptional British cheeseboard. |

THEY SAY Strattons is a small independent family run boutique hotel secluded in the historic Market town of Swaffham once a favourite with the Nelson family and home to Howard Carter who famously discovered Tutankhamen’s tomb. Its award winning chic restaurant serves organic and locally sourced produce in an innovative and exciting modern English style, fabulous cheeses from the British Isles complemented with wines from all over the world.
Art, design, luxury and comfort feature strongly throughout the hotel. Individual, sumptuous, eclectic, hip and funky bedrooms; cool contemporary style with originality.
