THEY SAY: Cowley Manor is the contemporary country hotel, with 30 rooms and a modernist spa. It is set in 55 acres of spectacular countryside, with three lakes and an extravagant Victorian cascade.... There is plenty of space to work, rest or play, or even to do all three. You can shoot some pool in the leather billiard room; you can take a drink or two under the watchful eyes of the animals in the bar, you can hang out on the south lawn or on your own private terrace. You can take over the private sitting room if you want to spread out a bit more, or book the private dining room if you are in the mood to entertain.
The bedrooms all have gadgets galore, from state-of-the-art TVs to Nakamichi CDs.... The restaurant is relaxed and we've make sure there will always be some comfort food on offer if you want it (like cottage pie or bangers and mash), or otherwise something a little more sophisticated should you prefer. There is a playroom for children (in the furthest corner), and PlayStations for the kid in all (well at least some) of us. There is a healthy collection of board games too. Then there is also C-Side, where you can swim, steam, sweat or spoil. Come and try it out.
