“What makes the Alminar such an exceptional place to stay (and incidentally Tripadvisor's number one hotel in Seville for several years running) is its location, on a quiet, narrow pedestrian street 50 metres from the cathedral, plus its outstanding staff. Charming Maria, who rarely seems to stray from her post at reception and knows the city inside out, is always full of brilliant ideas for restaurants, tapas, shops, sights and everything else. There’s not much sitting space downstairs – only the small central breakfast area – but the modern bedrooms are large, comfortable and well-equipped. The best have their own rooftop terrace.”
