“CLOSED for Winter 2014-15 for renovations.
The Altiport is the highest hotel in Méribel, next to a tiny airstrip used by the occasional helicopter and small plane to add to the excitement of breakfast. The terrace is one of the last to keep the late afternoon sun. Under new French ownership the hotel has been given a cool makeover with a classy contemporary bar and sitting room. For three stars you get an in-house ski shop, spa and a pool. Although out on a limb, there’s a free shuttle bus for guests to the village centre until midnight.”
