“Not a place for anyone with vertigo: the original windmill (anemomylos), which now houses the café-bar, stands on the edge of a 200-metre cliff that plunges into the Aegean. Around it low white-and-blue buildings house 16 studios and a one-bedroom apartment. All are designed in 'modern Cycladic' style with white walls, tiled floors and co-ordinated blue or green fabrics. If you're planning serious self-catering, the apartment has a proper kitchen. No great beaches, but the complex has a pretty pool.”
