“Though on a rather dull stretch of the river, a good 15-minute walk from the city centre, this is a truly stylish bed-and-breakfast in a quiet setting, which is easy to get to by car. There is a double room on the first floor and a suite, comprising sitting room and bedroom, on the second, each with a gorgeous and luxurious bathroom and pretty balcony overlooking the river. The rooms are really beautifully decorated – not surprising when you see the office of the owner’s interior design business on the ground floor. It’s in a great location for exploring some of Ghent’s major museums and galleries on foot, near the Citadel Park. Breakfast is served in the rooms.”

"The result is a sophisticated retreat away from the city centre, where rich colours in the bedrooms are set against white lace and bright white woodwork, with balconies overlooking the river Schelde."
