“Gorgeous boutique B&Bs - one B&B on each floor, but they share the same reception. Similarly opulent bedrooms in striking colours with rich fabrics. The roof terrace is a very special outpost with views over Venice which can be accompanied by a bottle of complimentary prosecco! Stylish and romantic.”

Hotel Review

Sleuthing skills are required to find this place, disguised in a residential block opposite the fine Church of Santo Stefano. Press the (polished) brass bell and the door will click open. Upstairs, slightly confusingly, you will find Bloom on one floor and Cielo on the next but they are one in the same. Whilst working all this out someone will appear from the neighbouring square to let you into your room and give you the key. The rooms are identified with coloured silk ribbons pinned on the lintel which indicate the colour scheme within. If you like white and bright then make sure you request Bedroom Blanco. The other colour schemes are more darkly Venetian. The rooms are all a good size with excellent bathrooms, but the piece de resistance here is undoubtedly the roof terrace. A rare and fantastic outdoor space for Venice. Watch the mist unveil the mysteries of the city in the early morning, or sit up there with your bottle of Prosecco (on the house – a nice touch) at sunset. A basic help-yourself buffet breakfast is laid out on the lower level with fresh croissants, breads, cereals fruit juice etc. Don your walking shoes and step outside. All you want to see is within easy walking distance - you are in the heart of Venice here. The Accademia Bridge is a short distance away. The nearest Vaporetto stop is Sant Angelo.
