“This tiny, late 19th-century castle is well worth a visit for its lovely gardens, authentic fittings and furnishings, walls covered in original hand-painted tiles, and private chapel. Inside whilst it is a budget hotel, the rooms have a certain charm. Meals are limited to breakfast, which consists of a generous buffet, and is served in a stunningly preserved dining room. Its position set back from the road means that despite being on a thoroughfare, it remains quiet. There are nine rooms in the original castle with contemporary furnishings and, among the gardens, there are a further 16 more modern bedrooms. ”
