“Some of Hydra's establishments are tucked away and hard to find. Getting to some others requires a trudge up steep narrow lanes and steps. No such issues here. Family-run Delfini is on the harbour, perfectly located for island-hoppers who want to make the most of a short stay on Hydra, and offers a lot for the money. You'll be hard put to find cheaper digs on this chic island.
Outside, Delfini is all whitewashed walls and blue shutters, with a cheerful clutter of chairs and tables spilling out onto the pavement from its ground floor cafe-bar. The same colour scheme continues inside, with white or cream tiled floors in simple rooms furnished with plain wooden beds. The best bedrooms have balconies and great harbour views. Showers are also simple and on the small side, with complimentary toiletries. There's wireless internet access, and the self-service verandah bar is a great place to watch an island sunset.”
