“Originally an iron foundry dating from 1908, the much lauded architect Francisco Aires Mateus and equally acclaimed interior designer, Nini Andrade Silva, have created a cool collection of design delights right down to the Philippe Starck colour therapy bathtubs – a welcome splash of colour amongst tones which tend to black. Bedrooms are open plan with bathrooms and have floor-to-ceiling windows. There are two restaurants, one serving Portuguese food and the other Sushi.”
