Hotel Review

Villa Fontelunga was one of the first true boutique hotels to open in Tuscany bringing you the best in service, style and Tuscan food and it has been repainted in time for the 2024 season. Passionate owners Paolo and Philip painstakingly restored this period villa to create a home away from home where guests can relax and experience the best of Tuscany.

Villa Fontelunga has nine rooms and suites and two luxury villas to rent. All of the en-suite rooms are individually decorated in different colours and styles with a mix of antique and modern and exquisite attention to detail. Villa Gallo is a contemporary two-bedroom villa set back amidst fields and hedgerows, ideal for two couples or a family. The split-level open plan kitchen and living area features a fireplace to cosy up in front of on cooler nights. Villa Galletto is a gorgeous contemporary one bedroom cottage, with a luxury split-level living area, master bedroom, and sunken bath. An idyllic romantic hideaway for couples who value their privacy. The villas share a pool which is surrounded by fragrant lavender garden.

Villa Scannagallo is the newest addition to the villa collection and has been created as a sort of mini Villa Fontelunga. Here you'll find spacious modern accommodation done in chic whites and greys and boasting private garden and pool. It can sleep up to twelve and is ideal for extended families or group get togethers.

Hire a car as there are plenty of hilltop Tuscan towns to visit and you'll want to dine out in one of the nearby recommended restaurants. Visiting Cortona is a must, this charming fortified town featured in the book 'Under the Tuscan Sun' and yet remains relatively unspoilt.
