G49 Bed & Breakfast Delhi, India

“Comfortable, colourful and understated rooms with attractive Rajasthan-tiled bathrooms and private balconies. Located in the historic area of Nizamuddin you are within easy reach of some of Delhi's most iconic sights. Food is local and home-cooked plus there is a small gym. Divine. ”

“Less modern but with more character than its neighbor G54 Zaza stay, G49 Guesthouse has more of a ‘guesthouse’ stay. Which you prefer is a personal preference. Huge rooms are decorated in rich palettes and also enjoy the benefits of modern bathrooms. Several also include private balconies and all include TVS and tea and coffee making facilities. The only thing letting it down is slightly run down corridors, which give it more of a hostel feel than upmarket guesthouse, but otherwise the interiors are lovely.

A spread of Indian dishes and the usual continental options are served for breakfast: enough to fill your stomach for a day’s sightseeing in Delhi, but nothing to write home about. Lunch and dinner however (arranged on request) are a delicious combination of hearty Indian meals and European favourite such as pastas and grilled chicken with vegetables. The chef is happy to fulfill any requests dependent on what he has available.”
