Gliffaes Hotel South and Mid Wales (Wales)

“Family-run fishing hotel overlooking the River Usk resting in the Brecon Beacons. Large, comfortable rooms with countryside views and cosy fireplaces. Seasonally inspired menu at the restaurant, matched by fine wines and a scenic atmosphere. Great for all the family and exploring the great outdoors”

“In the Brecon Beacons National Park, Gliffaes ticks all the boxes for a traditional country retreat. You'll find plush trimmings across an array of refined rooms, bounteous well maintained grounds and locally sourced ingredients which give rise to a seasonally inspired menu. Particularly popular with anglers with its private fishing on the Usk.”

Gliffaes hotel, Brecon Beacons

"Sitting on the wide stone terrace with nothing but the sound of birdsong and the rushing river certainly helps, but for a sense of peace to really take hold – the sort that says “I must return” – the hotel itself has to be genuine, unpretentious, honest, satisfying for its guests and loved by its owners."
