“Housed in the 19thC Philippines Tobacco company building the hotel has been refurbished combining the past and present to create simple yet modern interiors. The rooms are stylish without being overly fussy: most feature just two colours plus striped fabrics. The indoor swimming pool and spa in the old warehouse is atmospheric and eerie with low lighting and exposed brick work. As so often in Barcelona, the real highlight of the hotel is the romantic rooftop terrace and pool with uninterrupted 360 degree views of the city, day beds, bar area and a tapas style informal restaurant serving cocktails. Relatively unknown amongst tourists, it’s easier to get a seat here than in many other rooftop restaurants.”
