Hotel Review
In Denver's vibrant LoDo district, Hotel Indigo is a prime choice for baseball fans, steps away from Coors Field. Gig venue Ball Arena isn’t far either, so it’s the one to book if you’re in town for a specific event.
The hotel's decor favours minimalism over warmth, but for cleanliness and strategic positioning in the heart of LoDo, this is a solid choice. Rooms are on the larger side, with comfy mattresses and ergonomic workstations. Come morning, a muffin cart replaces a traditional breakfast offering - not to everyone’s taste, but it does the job, and there’s no shortage of places to get a proper meal nearby (try Snooze cafe).
Stand-out amenities include valet parking, a fitness centre and bicycles for rent. It’s good to know that this a pet-friendly destination, too, with a modest pet fee of $75 per stay.
A three minute walk away, Denver's historic Union Station is full of boutiques and restaurants, and from here you can take the train directly to the airport or the ski slopes. Traffic is increasingly a problem in Colorado (especially on powder days), so this is a real boon if you’ve an early flight.
