I Capricci di Merion Umbria, Italy

“Art nouveau villa set in a park of lawns and olive trees. Rustic, romantically decorated rooms infused with the owner's passion for painting, poetry and music. An excellent restaurant and a small spa. A characterful country escape for romantics and local explorers. ”

Photo of I Capricci di Merion

“Arianna Fiorenzoni is the English-speaking owner of I Capricci di Merion, built by Baron di Rondo so that his love, Lady Merion, could play her harp in peace; it is still played in the dining room. The sound of water as it tumbles from one outdoor pool to the next fills the park. There is also a small spa. Chef Enrico Madini creates Italian and regional dishes with a light, sophisticated touch.”
