Inverlochy Castle Fort William

“Elegance, romance and old-school service in sublime surroundings at the foot of Ben Nevis. Imposing rooms with heavy curtains, chintz wallpaper, antique paintings and four poster beds. The bathrooms are the height of modernity. A multi award winning restaurant. The perfect country getaway.”

Photo of Inverlochy Castle

“Inverlochy’s grand turrets, formal gardens, Italianate fresco, private loch and Rolls Royce Phantom undoubtedly define this hotel as more castle than country house. Such grandeur is confirmed by the impressive number of politicians, Hollywood celebrities and Royal guests that have stayed here over the years. The decor is predictably chintzy but genuinely luxurious and Chef Philip Carnegie’s Michelin starred food is exquisite and worth the trip alone. Regrettably such ambrosia doesn’t come cheap; deep pockets are essential.”
