Escape to The Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa and Island for 2 nts DB&B plus massages and a facial! In addition enjoy the superb leisure facilities incl indoor pool, gym & golf course
“When the Buchanan-Smith family bought the Isle of Eriska and transformed its Scottish Baronial ‘big house’ into an idiosyncratic, highly characterful hotel, they created a haven of peace for anyone who wants to relax and get away from it all in stunning surroundings, with seals, otters and beautiful views of neighbouring islands for company, plus the nightly visits of a family of badgers for bread and milk outside the dining room. Beppo Buchanan-Smith has added spa facilities to the testing nine hole golf course, with an indoor sports hall to come. A traditional, relaxing haven, where peace wraps around you like a warm tartan blanket.”

“Why do people love staying in your hotel?
Most people have dreamt of one day living on a private island and at Eriska can become reality. Eriska is a private island- exclusive to the 23 bedrooms of the hotel. It therefore offers privacy and seclusion without being too remote or inaccessible- being only 2 hours north of Glasgow and accessed by its own vehicle bridge.
What is there to do in the area or on site?
The island has a wealth of activities from the indoor spa, pool, and sports hall and outside golf, mountain bikes, tracks and trails and sailing and fishing or for the less active log fires and loungers!
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Full Scottish with kippers, haggis, smoked haddock and porridge
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Chef Simon MacKenzie holds 3 AA rosettes for his cuisine with his use of the best fresh local produce receiving continual praise although his cheese trolley with over 40 varieties being one of the highlights
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
Our spa suites are located in the garden with their own entrances, gardens and hot tubs offering privacy without losing the service as they have all the facilities of the 5 star hotel but more space and even offer 24 hour room service when walking the 50m to the main house is too far!
What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers?
Eriska offered the opportunity to turn that dream of a private island into reality as Eriska opens up a new experience and allows visitors to immerse themselves in the Scottish countryside without being too far removed from life.”
