“If you want to combine ancient glories with Athen's own riviera, Glyfada is the place to be. And if you don’t want to bust your budget, John's is the solution. The rooms are comfortable but colour schemes are neutral; the 15-metre pool surrounded by palm trees is a big bonus in this price bracket. Totally refurbished in 2004, John's still has a slightly Miami Art-Deco feel, and the posh seaside suburb of Glyfada is a bit less manic than central Athens. A good choice for an overnight stay at the beginning or end of a longer holiday, or for a long weekend.”
