“Casting around for a dream pub to run, Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing found this one, set on an unspoiled village green with a comic old pub sign swaying in the breeze. They run it just right: bonhomie, bags of character, cosy corners and just the right sort of superior pub grub that suits today’s new-style old country inn. As for the bedrooms, they are the sort we love: simple and unpretentious, yet artfully decorated with junk shop finds, painted furniture, pretty fabrics and comforting throws on excellent, white linen beds. Don't expect perfection at the King's Head: do expect an amusing time. ”

“The King’s Head Inn is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing break in the heart of The Cotswolds. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated, the food is delicious, there is a great atmosphere and the setting is picturesque. Set back off the perfect Cotswold village green with a meandering brook running by.
The pub has a heart warming spirit conjured up by open fires and hearty ales.
Thirteen years ago, Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing bought The King’s Head Inn and have worked hard to build up its reputation. It has been described as "the country pub you always hope to find but seldom do".”
