“Bought as a ruin on a whim 12 years ago after a chance visit to the area, this wonderful converted cattle barn has been lovingly restored by its English owners. Among their many passions and inspirations are regular trips to the markets of the surrounding Gascony area so picture vintage painted furniture and quirky, decorative details. Features such as the original cow feeder have been cleverly incorporated into the design as banisters, balustrade and a blanket holder. Guests are given a warm welcome and made to feel very much at home. Four bedrooms share two modern bathrooms and a huge open plan living and eating space with large squashy sofas round a wood burner. Wander through the rose and lavender scented garden or relax in the meditation temple with stunning views of the Pyrenees. The house name very much reflects the feel of the place - it's enchanting.”
