“Maison MK is a stylish newcomer to the riad scene. In a city bursting with trendy options, fashion photographer Paul Hopkins has created a unique design-led space. Following fluid and organic curves, combined with traditional materials and colours, Maison MK is a sensuous and relaxingly harmonious environment. With six rooms, this intimate riad feels wonderfully private and comfortable and, for those who prefer it that way, extremely fashionable too. Stylish and very personal restaurant with 5 course tasting menu, fusing Moroccan with modern French, a welcome treat. Cooking courses available as well.”

“Why do people love staying in your hotel?
1. Completeness: it has everything, authentic and contemporary, in the right place, delivered in the right way to its guests. Laid back luxury, high service driven and huge attention to detail from the concierging even before arrival to the personal phone and ipod for every room.
2. Location is the best in the medina ( safest, most exclusive, easiest access to the French area, 3mins into the square ( 300m), 180m from the main medina gate and taxis. ), next to the best souks of Mouassine.
it has all the facilities of a hotel but is a riad, so able to service all the senses in a luxury 5* way – spa, restaurant, bar, luxury rooms, concierge, 24/7 service.
What is there to do in the area?
Shop – private boutiques, souks, fixed price artisan centre:
Spa and hammam, dining – cafes and restaurants, bar (with official alcohol licence), Caleche ( horse drawn carriage) rides, main square, park across the road ( cyber park), pharmacy/cashpoint/parking lot nearby, taxis easily accessible, cooking courses, lots of shopping!
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Both in house home made Moroccan , and French breakfast (the best French pastries and baguettes in town (you have to travel 35mins to collect early morning!). Fresh high end coffee in flasks served at 6.45am to each bedroom
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Yes and Yes. We have the no. 1 tripadvisor restaurant in house, and also serve snacks 24/7, room service by in room phone also, both set formule and a la carte lunches, Full English Afternoon tea, early morning freshly ground coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, complimentary mint tea and home made cake very day from 4-6pm.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
Room 1- twice the size, and comes with a pamper package so its well worth the upgrade in price. All other 5 double rooms are the same size so meant to be equally popular. Rooms 1,2,3,4 are all around the central courtyard so popular for that. Rm 5 is v romantic with voiles everywhere and also can be a twin room so popular for that. Rm 6 is more rustic and you can sit and watch the outside world from the little window, and also has a walk-in power shower instead of a bath and rain shower and dual light controls from ambient to bright– so popular for different reasons – especially older people and teens love this room.”
"Former fashion photographer Paul Hopkins restyled the riad into a curvaceous beauty with walls that wrap around cosy seating nooks, a sunken fireside lounge scattered with cushions and a teardrop pool that spills across the central courtyard. "
