“At the upper end of mid-price, Oliver's Camp features eight beautifully furnished tents set in a truly stunning area of Tarangire National Park. Specialising in walking safaris and fly camping within the park, (the only operators capable of doing this) Oliver's camp is all about real safari; guides here are some of the best to be found on the Northern Safari Circuit.Absurdly good for game in August, September and October this camp is a real little gem. ”

“Why do people love staying in your hotel?
As well as being an extremely comfortable and stylish tented camp, the camp also has a reputation for great guiding, holding a special license to conduct walking safaris and fly-camping inside the national park.
Oliver`s consists of ten beautifully appointed, spacious tents, and Little Oliver’s - opened on 1st July 2013 about 1km from main
camp, consist of 5 tents with its own lounge and dining area.
The tents have excellent bathroom facilities, with running hot and cold water, flush loos and proper showers looking out over the Minyonyo floodplains. After activities, guests find a place to reflect and relax on their private veranda, in the lounge/library tent or dining tent or around the fireplace. Dinners are served in the dining tent or under the Tarangire sky. The camp crew has been a close team for many years and this clearly shows in the deep knowledge of the park and the quality of food and personal service that guests consistently rank among their best, and most inspiring of all time.
What is there to do in the area?
Having relocated several times during its long history, Oliver’s Camp has settled in what is no doubt the most spectacular location in the park close to the animal dense Silale Swamps.
Overlooking a flood plain of the Minyonyo Pools, part of the Tarangire River, the camp has a spectacular view and easy access to a dense concentration of wildlife. Famous for large elephant herds and baobab trees, Tarangire offers these and much more: lion, cheetah and leopard compete for a wide range of mammals to be seen – all complimented by the most prolific birdlife.
Oliver’s Camp offers a variety of ways to venture into the wilderness: walking safaris and night game drives inside the park, off and on-road driving plus fly camping. All of which are excellent ways to truly immerse oneself in the Tarangire, a park rich in wildlife and light on human traffic.
