Palacio Belmonte Lisbon, Portugal

“Very special B&B in Lisbon's medieval quarter with fantastic sea views. A nobleman's palace; historic, elegant, utterly romantic. Enormous family rooms and suites have original tiling, oil paintings, large marble bathrooms and private balconies. A treat for romantics and families alike.”

“Staying here you step into the shoes of a nobleman from another era. The historic house has been preserved in its historic form with its huge rooms and high ceilings, original 18th century azulejo tiles and period oil-paintings, and the same kind of flamboyant traditional glamour. It's still luxurious to the core. 10 suites all with private balconies. There's no restaurant but who really wants to eat where they sleep anyway.”
