“In the heart of the Masai Mara, this prime spot near the Great Migration river crossing has tents renowned in the area. Comfort and views for all. A romantic meal down by the river can be arranged. Activities are much about The Big Five and seeing what else lives in the Mara.”

Hotel Overview

“The reputation of this camp is partly due to the Beatons, the family who founded the camp, and partly due to its superb location on the banks of the Mara River. Owner operated by Gerard and Rainee Beaton, the camp is made up of 7 safari tents (flush loos, safari showers) set amongst tall acacia. A gradual green slope slides down from the communal dining area to the river itself, giving outstanding views of one of the best crossing points in the area on your doorstep. Perhaps not the smartest camp but probably the best “game” camp in the Mara.”

“REKERO CAMP LIES IN THE heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara, which plays host to an extraordinary concentration and diversity of wildlife. This long established eco-camp is ideally situated for the annual migration, which is the movement of over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebra from the Serengeti through the Masai Mara in Kenya. Every year the camp is closed for two months to allow the bush and the many wildlife neighbours to return to the site leaving a fresh and recovered wilderness for the next dramatic season.

A peaceful 9 tent owner managed camp that lies in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara, on the banks of the Talek River. The camp is
spread down the river from a large bend in the river to an ancient wildebeest crossing point which sits in front of a large mess tent. The
interiors are spacious with comfortable bed(s) and each tent enjoys river views from its own veranda. The rear of the tent leads to a
tented bathroom with a flush toilet, a sink and a safari shower. A team of safari chefs prepare fresh and tasty home-style meals for
guests during their stay. Meals are enjoyed out on game drives, by the water’s edge under the shade of an African Pepper tree or by
candlelight in the open mess tent higher up the bank.”
