The Fox Club London (Mayfair)

“Private club meets charming boutique in the heart of Mayfair. A stones throw from the Westend and the designer shops of Knighsbridge. Comfortable and classic rooms are perfect for lone rangers, business trips or couples wanting a romantic getaway. Cosy and laid back vibes.”

“If it’s a five-star hotel with all the trappings you’re after, then The Fox Club probably isn’t for you, but if it’s a cosy, laid-back cross between a club and a hotel, then you’ve found the perfect Mayfair address. It occupies the 18th-century house that was home to Charles James Fox and his courtesan lover, Mrs Armistead, and was decorated by top hotel designer Kit Kemp in her trademark country-house style. Members and, for a little extra, non-members can enjoy the convivial bar, small adjoining restaurant and, upstairs (no lift), one of nine pretty, recently refurbished bedrooms. Perfect for single travellers.”

They say

“Welcome to The Fox Club, a sharper social choice for the discerning. Step inside and you’ll immediately recognise the qualities that make our private members club and bijou hotel a departure from the usual. It’s not quite an anti-club, but it’s certainly an antidote to the many of Mayfair’s traditional establishments. It’s a fun and friendly place to unwind with friends, eat fine food and even spend the night in dreamy luxury. So come in, chill out and let us show you around.”
