“Brothers Ben and Jack have built an establishment that would make their family proud; their grandparents were the owners of the island’s once highly esteemed, but now gone, Gloster Hotel. Ben runs the kitchen and has channelled his experience and expertise into an unpretentious but exceptionally fine menu, inspired by a mix of British, Mediterranean and Scandinavian cuisine, with‘House Cured Salmon Served with Danish Style Cavia’ on the menu as proof. Jack works the front of house and ensures that the service is both professional and welcoming. There are just three bedrooms bright and minimal, and the best has a private terrace overlooking the Solent with – on a fine day – its many sailing boats, and the Hampshire coast near Lymington. Perfect for sailors who want to cross the Solent and stay the night before heading back.”

“The venture of Ben Cooke, The Little Gloster name honours his grandparents, who owned the now obsolete Gloster Hotel – once one of the most prestigious hotels on the island and former home of the Royal Yacht Squadron.
Situated in Gurnard, The Little Gloster is just a five-minute drive from the prime yacht haven of Cowes, offering some of the most sought-after sea views on the whole of the island.
The Little Gloster comprises a restaurant, bar and bed and breakfast. Head Chef Ben Cooke and Sous Chef Jay Santiago oversee the kitchen, while Holly Siddons - Ben's partner, manages the front of house, B&B and events.
The ambience is warm and friendly, and the food and drink offering is amongst the best you'll find on the island. This home-from-home is the perfect venue for a quiet meal, to celebrate a special occasion or simply unwind with a glass of wine whilst taking in the spectacular sunsets that contribute to making this location so unique.”
