“Legendary, laid-back chic boutique in Neo-Classical mansions loved by an eclectic clientele of business travelers, fashionistas and musicians. Varied, funky styles are adopted for the rooms and with delicious breakfast. Location in the heart of Notting Hill, for boutiques and food, is perfect.”

Hotel Overview

“It's hard to think of a London hotel with a more pleasant atmosphere (of the bohemian kind) and the Portobello, the originator of shabby-chic begun as a bolthole for musicians in the early 1970s, has long attracted an eclectic, celebrity-heavy clientele. Bar and room service are available round the clock, and if you always yearned to order scrambled eggs and champagne at four in the morning, this is just the place to do it. Bedrooms vary (see the website for descriptions) from tiny cabins to decadent suites. No restaurant, but discounts are nearby Julie's Restaurant. Not suitable for disabled guests.”

See What They Say

“On a quiet street in Notting Hill, stands this converted neo-classical mansion. It hardly looks like a hotel, yet it enjoys a worldwide reputation as the most exclusive hideaway hotel in London. For close to a quarter of a century, it has played host to the world of music, show business and fashion, great names have made it their second home.”
