The Resurgence is surrounded by native birds, 5km of walking tracks, big views to Kahurangi National Park. The Abel Tasman is just 15 minutes away with boat trips, kayaking and great beaches.
The Tasman Taste Trail is an accessible cycle-way with many bike hire, transport and cafe stop options.
Golden Bay over the Takaka Hill offers stunning wild beaches, short walks, horse treks, artists and cafes.
The Nelson Region is famous for some of the best artists in New Zealand, wine, art & gourmet tours are available with a private guide or self-drive.
Hobbit and Lord of the Rings locations are accessed by small tours and helicopter.
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Bush Chalet and Bush Lodge self-cater guests receive a generous hamper of breakfast goodies including home baked bread, The Resurgence muesli, fresh fruit and Nespresso coffee machine.
Anyone booking our Dinner Bed & Breakfast packages additionally gets a cooked breakfast at the Lodge with free-range eggs from the Riwaka Valley and coffee from our commercial expresso machine.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Dinner at The Resurgence is a real experience. Start with aperitifs and mingling with owners and fellow guests before sitting down to a table d'hote dinner which showcases local produce, 4 small courses take you on a culinary journey.
Bush Chalet and Bush Lodge can opt to self-cater or perhaps dine out in Marahau or Motueka on one of the evenings.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
Bush Lodges and Bush Chalets because these are unique, stand-alone suites with stunning views. Built to a very high standard they are like little houses in the bush and offer a welcome change from your average ensuite room.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
None. We cater for the couples market and all rooms sleep a maximum of 2 adults.
