“Under the same ownership and opposite the Grand Wien, this new ‘casual luxury’ hotel affords a much needed opportunity for those wanting something more contemporary and less stately than the other hotels on Ringstrasse. Not that the past is entirely forgotten: the elegant original lift cuts a dash in the stylish lobby. Otherwise, the style is slick and pared down: café-au-lait with dashes of strong colour in cool, unfussy rooms, plus a spa, informal café/bar and restaurant. Cool and sophisticated, and in a great position.”
