“The owners of this alternative B&B are very keen on winning heat from the sub-soil and finding food in the hedgerows. Tracey practises reflexology and specialist therapies. But because she and Alex are so sensible and have both been trained in the hospitality industry, their ‘greenery’ just provides a gentle background to a happy, well-run home that will appeal particularly to families. (The owners have two young sons; ducks and hens too). The simple decoration of the rooms is offset by chic modern bathrooms and pale oak joinery. They also have a sauna. The garden is work-in-progress, but a lovely wooden summerhouse provides privacy - or a place to stash teenagers. Locally sourced produce goes into meals of the highest quality and wines are chosen with real expertise.”

“Timberstone B&B nestles within the Clee Hills. It is only 5 miles from the market town of Ludlow in Shropshire. Timberstone is a traditional stone cottage with original beams. Our accommodation has been lovingly refurbished in a classic yet contemporary style, maintaining high levels of comfort. Timberstone Bed and Breakfast is located in the rural hamlet of Clee Stanton. This stunning setting is tranquil and peaceful, surrounded by with wonderful views from almost every window. Tracey and Alex have filled the house with warmth and character, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.”
"There are numerous touches that might bring a smile to a face: charming old country pieces, books tucked into unexpected places, handles and catches devised by craftsmen, an Indian kilim on aged oak boards, a straw hat on a whitewashed wall."
