Hotel Review

Hotel Villa Beccaris has the perfect location in the tiny, yet bustling village of Monforte d’Alba. In a restored 18th century villa, the welcoming staff are hospitable and friendly, encouraging you to explore their lovely region where the great Barolo Wine and white truffles come from. The hotel can be best described as ‘charming’ and ‘chic’, which is rare in many cases but not for Villa Beccaris. The rooms are simple yet luxurious The location of the hotel makes it quiet enough to enjoy the region, as well as being convenient with just a 5-minute walk down a very steep hill into Monforte d’Alba city centre and the Piazza dell’Antica Chiesa with it's ancient bell tower. Several wineries, including the Conterno Fantino Winery, are open for tastings and are just a short 2-minute walk from the hotel. One of the best features of the hotel is the stunning view from the garden, which is also the breakfast dining area. A panoramic view of tiny villages making up the Langhe region are on show, complementing the friendly staff and more than sufficient breakfast buffet. For a small-scale hotel, there really is nothing amiss here, private underground parking, bikes for rental, spinning bikes in a gazebo, swimming pool and also an open cellar for wine-tastings. There are 23 rooms and suites, each decorated with provincial antique furnishings. Amenities are provided including slippers, spa amenities and gown for lazy sun-tanning days in the Beccaris garden.
