For anyone wanting to explore Dartmoor, it makes an excellent base; dogs are warmly welcome and fishing, shooting and riding can all be arranged by the hotel. Rooms are plainer, but with amazingly comfortable beds, each with a cosy throw. Comfortable and good value: just the place to come home to after a day on the moor. ”
