“The approach to this charming family-run B&B winds through the gloriously idyllic meadows and hedgerows of the South Downs National Park. Two renovated flint and brick barns offer 6 delightful, well presented and equipped bedrooms overlooking a communal courtyard. Attractively and individually decorated with comfortable beds, antique painted furniture, armoires, armchairs and stylish lighting. Underfloor heating adds a touch of luxury to nicely crafted bathrooms with roll top tubs, panelled baths or walk-in ‘rain’ showers. The accommodation is situated behind the popular White Horse pub in Graffham, managed by the owner’s son and recently transformed by his mother, an interior decorator, into a lovely space with a cosy atmosphere. Retro leather stools line the bar area and round a corner guests can relax in wicker chairs or on cosy sofas.”

“Why do people love staying in your hotel?
If you like peace and quiet, wonderful countryside and walks, cosy rooms and country pubs with good food, then that is what our customers love here at Willow Barns and The White Horse at Graffham.
What is there to do in the area?
We are located at the heart of the South Downs National Park, where there is an enviable network of footpaths and bridle ways. We are lucky to have Goodwood with its horse racing and motor festivals within 15 minutes drive, and even closer is Cowdray Park with golf and Polo. There are many National trust properties close by including Petworth House and Arundel Castle, in both these locations you wil find bustling market towns with interesting shops. Brighton is within an hours drive and the south coast within 40 minutes
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
We offer full English Breakfast, along with variations of smoked salmon, omelettes, as well as fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, cereals, fruit juice etc.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Willow Barns is located next to our pub The White Horse at Graffham, here we serve, lunch and dinner, we grow veg and fruit on our farm which we use when available, along with our own wild venison and many local meats and fish.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
Our rooms seem equally popular, but I suppose our larger rooms with en suite walk in showers are the most popular, they also have the very best views of the South Downs!
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
Our two larger rooms have an extra bed, which can be used by children over 12 years.
What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers?
If you are looking for a relaxed, romantic and friendly place to stay in the countryside, you will love Willow Barns. If you are looking for glamour and night life with constant hotel style service, you will not! We look forward to giving you a warm welcome, to our little slice of this beautiful part of England”
