Hotel Review

This hotel is the ultimate home from home. Stylish, without over decoration, quirky, friendly and warm. All the rooms are full of character, but go for the Lookout room- a two storey little house. The bathroom on the second floor features a free standing bath, from which you can see views over the coast. Produce from the kitchen garden features on every dish on the menu, and if this is your sort of thing, then you may also accompany the hotel's 'forager' on hunts for goodies. The homely feel is extended to breakfast where you can boil your own eggs, before trotting down to the Shepherd's Huts for some spa treatments. Beach walks, four poster beds and character-filled rooms; a wonderful country weekend.

See What They Say

Why do people love staying in your hotel? The location of THE PIG – on the beach is what brings so many guests and customers in. Whilst the other PIGs are surrounded by dense forest greenery, excluding THE PIG – in the wall, THE PIG – on the beach is situated literally embedded within Studland Bay. When the sun is shining the hotel is ideal for having a drink on the terrace of walking around the gardens and sightseeing beautiful points along the coastline.

What is there to do in the area or on site? Situated along Studland Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches along the Dorset coastline, THE PIG – on the beach is in a prime position for both couples and families wishing to soak up the sun or wrap up for wintery walks.

What kind of breakfast do you offer? Within each of our PIG hotels we provide a continental breakfast spread, full of homemade granolas, energy bars, cheese and meats and even a station where you can boil your own eggs sourced either fresh from hotel hen coops or from a farm within close proximity of the hotel. With choices ranging between a continental breakfast at £11 or various hot options from the cooked menu, you may find yourself a little stuck for choice.

Do you offer any other meals? Alike its siblings, THE PIG – on the beach is all about homegrown produce and the ethos of garden to plate. Each dish is packed full of garden goodness depending on the season and what’s blooming. If you’d prefer something a little quicker and lighter, we also serve a delicious choice of wood-fired flatbreads that are perfect for enjoying on our outdoor terrace with a stunning view of Studland Bay.

Which are your most popular rooms and why? Each room and its furniture have been carefully coordinated to create the perfect cosy country getaway. Harry’s Hut and THE PIG Hut are two huts that are tucked neatly away at the bottom of the garden that both offer beautiful coastal views. Made up of two rooms, one for the bedroom and another for a log burner and free-standing roll-top bath, the huts are perfect for those hoping to escape to an intimate getaway.
