“Teaplanters’ houses spectacularly sited on a 2,500ft bluff above the plains. Fantastic views from the tea terraces over the plains and blue hills. Traditional interiors with large glass windows. Dine in your villa or make your way to the hotel restaurant. A great choice for families or groups. ”

Hotel Review

The cottages are early 1900 planters’ guesthouses - most with three bedrooms, bathrooms en suite and a dining room and drawing room with open log fire. Each comes with a houseboy and cook. The best is Wildflower Cottage. The views are some of the best in Sri Lanka with steep tea terraces in the foreground and plains and blue hills in the far distance. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking as the clouds swirl up majestically from the valley floor. Well worth getting up for, as is breakfast on one’s own terrace. Handy for the magical train to Kandy (book the observation car).
