Why do people love staying in your hotel? L'Albiousse is an intimate boutique Bed and Breakfast offering uncompromised hospitality and understated luxury in an elegantly appointed XVI century historic townhouse, in the very centre of Uzès. You will be personally greeted and looked after during your stay by the owners; Gwilym and Alexis, who are happy to share their experience and knowledge of the area to ensure an unforgettable stay.
What is there to do in the area or on site? L'Albiousse is the perfect base to make the most of Uzès and Provence. In town there is plenty to see and do, and you shouldn't miss the Wednesday or Saturday markets. The famous world heritage site of Pont du Gard is just down the road, while Nimes, Avignon and Arles are all within easy reach. Head off to Châteauneuf du Pape for some great wine tasting. The flamingos and white horses of Camargue and the beaches are just an hour away. For the more adventurous, there is kayaking, hot air ballooning, river swimming, some great country walks right from the doorstep and so much more…
What kind of breakfast do you offer? A large selection of Teas, coffee or traditional hot chocolate. Freshly squeezed fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, yogurt and home made stewed fruit. Fresh bread and locally homemade jams. Home made and freshly baked cakes or pancakes with maple syrup. Want something hot? Try out the chef's scrambled eggs and bacon.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Uzès has a large choice of dining options from your typical local café to Michelin star fine dining. Gwilym & Alexis will be happy to recommend, book and guide you to some of their favourites.
Which are your most popular room types, and why? If you are looking for luxurious comfort, our Standard Bedrooms offer great value for money, with plenty of space (25m2) authentic 18th century decor and all the mod cons. Need more space and a few extra amenities (King bed, 24" iMac, Nespresso coffee machine…) our new Studio room offers an impressive 42m2 of living space with an open bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. If your own private terrace/balcony with daybed sounds enticing, then our indulgent Terrace Suites are the ones to choose. All our rooms are air-conditioned and offer complimentary WiFi.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? Our rooms are not designed to accommodate extra beds. The house is unsuitable for young children under 14.
