Booking a stay at The Cloudesley is as much about one's wellbeing as it is about getting away for a luxury break. Here they pride themselves on their eco-credentials and topnotch therapeutic treatments as much as they do on their charming guest rooms and warm welcome! With just five bedrooms you can be sure of an intimate break. All are done in calming neutral tones and the best comes with superking size four poster and luxurious en suite featuring both bath and shower. Coffee table books on art, gardening, photography and history are placed throughout both bedrooms and drawing rooms and there are other nice touches including complimentary toiletries, honesty bar in the red drawing room, and a fabulous gourmet breakfast made with many ingredients grown on site (the rest are mainly organic and sourced from local suppliers). The garden also features strongly here with lots of rare specimen plants and shrubs (the owner is the proud winner of a Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal), though it is described as an ongoing "work in progress". Breakfast on summer days is a joy outside. If you want a relaxing getaway to East Sussex's south coast, The Cloudesley is perfect. Close enough to all the action (an easy walk or drive from many great attractions, bars and restaurants) yet also a haven of peace and quiet for when you've done with your day.
