Hotel Review

“Stylish retreat on Vietnam’s best beach you’ve never heard of”. With a coastline of over 3000 kilometres Vietnam has no shortage of attractive beaches. Why then, do tourists continue to flock to DaNang and Nha Trang? Two lovely stretches of beach and home to many of the country’s finest hotels, yes. Though both, arguably, beginning to lose their charm. Enter: Qhu Nhon, a new contender for Vietnam's beach of the year. For the moment practically unheard of, yet astonishingly beautiful. Nestled into a hillside overlooking a stunning private beach is the award-winning AVANI Quy Nhon Resort & Spa, a stylish retreat for beach lovers where each guest is welcomed with a shoulder massage! All 63 rooms face the sea and are decorated in calming minimalist style, though equipped with modern conveniences such as Nespresso machines and bluetooth sound systems. The spa is an absolute treat, designed like a Robinson Crusoe style treehouse, with open plan treatment rooms and tumbling bougainvillea and offering exceptional wellness and massage services. A host of activities are on offer, the usual kayaking and snorkelling plus picnics on private islands and bicycle tours of the local villages and markets. There’s history too: the ancient Thap Doi Cham Towers sit within the city limits in a very pretty park. Importantly, the poolside bar creates particularly yummy tropical cocktails and the cliff top restaurant has just installed a brand new menu serving up delicious fusion cuisine.
