Hotel Review
As remote as it gets. On an island, off an island, off the mainland of Fiji. Upholds a strong reputation with both its well-heeled clientele and the locals. Sold by Malcolm Forbes to the Red Bull owner, Dietrich Mateschitz. Very classy with Island's farm and hydroponic gardens. Makes its own soap, papaya jam and green tea ice cream. There are five specific hang out spots: the colonial Plantation House, Beach Bar, Pool Bar (where guests tend to congregate), Rock Bar and Seagrass Bar. Villas are decorated in an eco-chic style: natural yet luxurious furnishing with jaw dropping views out across the open sea. The outdoor bathrooms and capacious egg shaped baths are a real treat. There is almost no end to activities on site - from voyaging aboard the property's 100 year old Croatian sailing boat to getting your PADI certification with the help of a friendly instructor and a couple of inquisitive hawksbill turtles. A superlatively luxurious castaway experience.
