See What They Say

“Why do people love staying in your hotel?
The domaine still exudes the atmosphere of 1817, when Baron Hilaire Reynaud - a famous general in Napoleon's army - lived here. But of course with all the modern luxuries! And wherever you look outside you will see vinyards or the large private park with pool. And of course they enjoy our award winning wines...

What is there to do in the area or on site?
On site you can join our wine tasting with lunch or tapas, there is an art gallery to visit and of course we can show you around the vineyards and winery and depending on the level of interest explain all about wine making.
In the area there is plenty to do. We are close to the beaches where you can do all sorts of water sport activities or relax in one of the beach bars. You can visit the typical Southern French villages with their local markets and brocantes. The beautiful cities Pézenas, Montpellier and Beziers are within 20-40 min drive and there are plenty of cultural historical sites nearby to visit as well.

What kind of breakfast do you offer?
As we offer house rental normally the guests arrange their own breakfast but we can provide a breakfast basket for the first day. And upon request we can arrange a breakfast buffet.

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
We can arrange an inhouse chef for dinner at the domaine.
And there are many good restaurants in the nearby area that we can recommend. In the house you will find an overview of the best restaurants in the area. Upon request we can make you reservations.

Which are your most popular room types, and why?
We have contemporary baroc style rooms as well as rooms decorated in 19th century style. All have a great view on the park. Two rooms have a view at the rose garden.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
We have toys to play in the pool, a playhouse in the park and a treehouse, we have several games to play outside (cricket, football, badminton, pétanque), and boardgames, as well as a playstation and several films for kids in the cinema room.

What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers?
If you want a memorable stay and to enjoy the real South of France book your stay at Domaine Saint Hilaire. From late August to first week of October we also offer a harvest experience and you can learn all about wine making.”
